The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) is an independent entity under Bihar’s department of state education. It is a legislative body that acts under the Bihar Government under section 3 of the Bihar School Examination Act – 1952. The main function of the Bihar Education Board is to conduct each year for all affiliated schools the Matric exams (i.e. class 10 exams) and Intermediate exams (i.e. class 12 exams).

Bihar School Examination Board Syllabus
The BSEB syllabus is approved for all groups by the Bihar State Government. Science (Physics , Chemistry, Biology), Maths, Social Science (History, Political Science , Geography, Economics), and English are subjects in class 10. Students get options after class 10 to select either the Science stream, Commerce stream, or Arts stream. The board and government agree on the syllabus of all the subjects which are sources.
